Following recent meetings with Llandovery PCSO Helen Fender the Crychan Forest Association members have been on the look out for illegal vehicles in the forest.
A CFA member spotted some motor bikes being off loaded from illegally parked vans nr Brynffo carpark while they where performing their regular trail monitoring.
A call to 101 was made and a local PCSO went out and found the vehicles but no bikes. The vehicle details were noted and when the PCSO later returned they caught the bikers loading up their vehicles. Section 59 warnings were issued on all the vehicles. Which means they could be seized next time.
We need all members of the public to report any illegal vehicles in the forest by ringing 101.

The Cefn Farm Car Park in Crychan Forest is now open after the recent felling work.
The Crychan Forest car park at Cefn Farm has been closed due to fallen and dangerous trees.
Natural Resources Wales will remove the trees as soon as possible so that the car park can be reopened.
Alternative car parks are available at Esgair Fwyog, Brynffo and Halway.
We had a site visit today with some members of the Crychan Forest Association meeting with representatives from Natural Resources Wales to discuss adding foot bridges over the fords on the Cwm Dulais Trail.
We met at Cefn Farm car park and set off to investigate the fords. The water was at it highest level and we could see why foot bridges would be a welcome addition to the trail making it more accessible for walkers.
We also looked at the ruins at Glyn Moch, where a shorter route could be made for walkers.
