Halfway Walks

Short Walk – Nant y Dresglen Trail – A moderate 1.25 mile (2.1km) walk in Crychan Forest from the Halfway car park. At a  leisurely pace the walk will take about 0.75 hours.

A gentle trail never far from the waters of the Nant y Dresglen, there’s a place for a picnic half way round, close to the footbridge. It’s a nice place to stop on a fine day.

Longer Walk – Melin y Glyn Trail – A moderate 2.25 mile (3.6km) walk in Crychan Forest from the Halfway car park. At a  leisurely pace the walk will take about 1.5 hours.

You’ll follow an old county road along the western side of the valley, before reaching the forest road bridge, at Melin y Glyn. A mill used to be here many years ago, now there’s hardly a trace of it. Here you’ll return following a track through the trees, and then the forest road back to where you started.
