Crychan Forest is a beautiful forest area near Llandovery, South West Wales with facilities for horse riding, cycling, carriage driving and hiking. Acres of unspoilt countryside offer stunning views.

How often have you been somewhere with your horse-box to find it was difficult, if not impossible to turn around? Well, here at Crychan Forest, we have four car parks with special large bays for horsey vehicles and tying posts to make your life easier. Two of the car parks even have fenced sandy corrals. We have also put in picnic tables for you to relax on with your friends and have a chat after your ride. Each car park has information on the rides you can do from there.

Horse Riding Trails
Whether you want a 5 mile or 25 mile waymarked ride, the trails at Crychan are of the highest standard. Members of the West Wales Trekking and Riding Association and the Endurance GB Society designed them. Horsey trails designed by horsey people for horsey people!

Esgair Fwyog	Allt Cwmcrychan	3.8	6.4	Blue	Take in the long views over open pastures and drop down into Cwm Crychan, before climbing out of the valley along the forest road.
Cefn Farm	Cwm Dulais	6.4	10.6	Red	Enjoy the views of wooded Cwm Dulais and try to stay dry when passing through the three fords.
Cefn Farm	Cwar Cerrig	+2.2	+3.7	Blue	Try this extension to the Cwm Dulais trail climbing over higher ground with great views before descending by the stone quarry.
Halfway	Cefn Arthen	3.9	6.5	Red	Climb steadily from the waters of Nant y Dresglen, with the promise of excellent views of the western Brecon Beacons.
Halfway	Cwm y Glyn	+3.7	+6.2	Blue	Follow this extension to the Cefn Arthen trail along the road up to the Army ranges before turning back along tracks with good views across Cwm y Glyn.
